Ben Affleck Says Standalone Batman Film Brings ‘Tremendous Amount of Pressure’

The actor, who starred as the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman, has been rumored as the selected director for the solo film, which is also rumored to take place in Arkham Asylum.

“It’s really inspiring taking on something like this character and this story”.

As it can be recalled, Ben Affleck finally gave his first rendition as Bruce Wayne care of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’.

Ben Affleck has already stepped into Batman’s cape and cowl twice before already – but soon he’ll have to do it without his fellow Justice League heroes to support him.

At Saturday Comic Con, the Golden Globe victor said there is no script for the new Batman film yet, and that he will not rush into it until having the script done. “It’s been reinvented so many times, it’s terrifying but it’s exciting”, Affleck said. Over the last decade, Affleck has developed a solid reputation as a director with the award-winning movies Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo. No release date was confirmed, but the Batman logo was slotted between standalone films for The Flash (2018) and Cyborg (2020). Therefore, while he starts the filming process of the movie, Affleck has other projects such the “Justice League” and “suicide squad” premieres. It will be released on November 10, 2017.
