Ben Affleck to Direct & Star in Standalone ‘Batman’ Movie!
Hollywood actor Ben Affleck was surprised to be offered the role of Batman because he was convinced he was too old to play the superhero.

Ben Affleck’s new cape and cowl had already made an appearance at Comic-Con 2014, and his working Batmobile at the Licensing Expo 2015. Batman is Warners’ most profitable movie superhero thus far, so it makes sense that they’d want to capitalize on that with his eighth big-screen solo adventure, but so far we’ve heard nothing official. Although it is not much, the website noted that this give fans the idea that director Zack Snyder will be introducing several DC characters in th film.
But before Affleck tackles all the behind-the-scenes of the standalone Batman film, he’s slated to direct, as Gossip Cop reported earlier, the crime drama Live By Night in November. He’s now focused on getting “Live By Night”, based on Dennis Lehane’s Prohibition-era crime novel, off the ground. The thick armor plating looks like it might withstand more than a few punches from the Man of Steel, though we can only assume Bruce has some kryptonite stashed away somewhere. Sounds about right. No other details were released, but other reports previously have indicated that the title will actually be The Batman, and they’re aiming for release in 2018 (following Justice League in 2017).
Snyder also talked about why the seemingly gratuitous violence was necessary in the final act of the first movie.
It remains to be seen, however, whether the new film will continue the direction set forth by Nolan’s series – or have any connection whatsoever.
Warner Brothers has finally started to move forward with the long-rumored DC Comics Cinematic Universe that began, truly, with MAN OF STEEL.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” is in theaters March 25, 2016.

We’ve all been looking forward to a face-off between Batman and Superman for over a year now, without even knowing what the two superheroes are quibbling about.
