Ben Carson Confirms Backing For Donald Trump For US Election 2016

Shortly after Ben Carson pulled the plug on his own presidential run, the retired neurosurgeon said he will endorse Donald Trump.

Carson warned that it is “extremely dangerous” if political parties seek to “thwart the will of the people” and must let the “voice of the people be heard”.

In a 45-minute news conference, the two men talked about their mutual respect, with Trump saying he expected Carson to be very involved with his campaign’s education policy.

Are there two Donald Trumps?

“There’s the one you see on the stage, and there’s the one who’s is very cerebral, sits there, you can have a very good conversation with him”.

That was all it took for Twitter to kick into gear.

The latest endorsement for Trump followed a CNN-hosted Republican debate in Miami on Thursday night at which Trump and the remaining three candidates in the Republican race struck a markedly more civil tone.

Carson has spent an entire campaign pleading for honor and decency and decorum, only to endorse a man who is the crassest, most vulgar, most deceitful person in the race – a man who has repeatedly attacked in the most vicious ways, and lied about, every other candidate in the race. Carson’s backing also gives the NY real estate magnate a boost just days before crucial nominating contests in the battle to be the party’s presidential candidate for the November 8 election.

The support of Carson, a Seventh-day Adventist, could help Trump win support from evangelical voters, who remain an important part of the Republican base.

Apparently, the Republican front-runner is already used with receiving important endorsements and doesn’t care that much about them, otherwise we can’t explain why he totally messed his discourse.

He made the endorsement at a joint news conference in Florida with Mr Trump ahead of primaries there on Tuesday.

“Join me in supporting and rallying around the only candidate the GOP has that can defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016”, Carson wrote in his Facebook post, with no mention of Sanders.

Even before Carson’s comments, Trump was beginning to adjust the public image that he’s spent years carefully cultivating, first in the tabloids, then on reality television and social media, and most recently, during his unexpected White House bid. I’m somebody who is a thinker. And, you know, that happens in American politics, the politics of personal destruction. “We’ve had enough debates, in my opinion”, he said.

“We move on”, he added.
