Ben Carson ending his presidential bid
The audience shouted, “No!” The audience reacted with disappointed groans, but rose to give Carson an appreciative standing ovation.

Carson had announced Wednesday that he would not participate in the Fox News debate on Thursday, saying “I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening’s Super Tuesday primary results”.
“Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East”, Duane R. Clarridge, an adviser on terrorism and national security, said at the time.
Later in the speech, Carson explained, “I did the math. I looked at the delegate counts … and I realized it simply wasn’t going to happen”.
Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and presidential candidate says he will not attend Thursday night’s GOP Presidential debate. “But it’s okay, it’s not a problem”.
Despite his departure from the race, Dr Carson is not finished with politics. Around the convention hall, conservative activists expressed affection for Carson, but wondered if he ever really should have run for president. Carson said Friday he “would prefer in general not to have” a contested convention. And while he did formally suspend his candidacy, his statement Wednesday was seen as effectively ending his bid. “Carson stayed in a lot longer than he should have”. In comparison, only $1.3 million was spent on campaign staff and advertising. He then immediately changed the subject and started talking about Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, because Ben Carson is a curious dude with unique conversational patterns. He will serve as chairman of My Faith Votes, an organization that works on getting Christian Americans to vote.
“I will still be heavily involved in trying to save our nation”, he added.
“What we must do as conservatives is we couple conservative with compassion”, Carson said.
“This is not about a candidate, it is about a cause: that people of faith have a moral responsibility to vote, and if they do they also have a disproportionate effect on the election’s outcome”, Moore said in an email.

“You don’t need to have much of a developed brain to react, to react in fear”, Carson said in urging a more thoughtful, productive national political discourse.
