The Kansas Republican Party announced on Friday that Dr. Ben Carson has now filed for the Kansas Republican Presidential caucus.

Previously, Dr. Carson’s plan involved replacing the Affordable Care Act, in addition to Medicare and Medicaid, with a universal cash allowance for people to spend on healthcare services. He spoke about his underprivileged life growing up and how his mother, who had only a third grade-level education, encouraged him to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
Carson quickly did what he needed to at the start of Wednesday’s debate, reminding an electorate exhausted with political sniping he’s going to stick to his own, understated path. He said he would “not be engaging in bad things about my compatriots”, while most others did.
Ever since Trump stepped on the scene, debates have become more of an entertainment show than a “get to know who the right person is”. “And what it’s turned into is a ‘gotcha.’ That’s silly”. “You know, that’s what the PC culture is all about, and it’s destroying this nation”.

As Tim Worstall of the conservative Adam Smith Institute wrote in Forbes, Carson’s plan flies in the face of “the simplest of logic and mental arithmetic”.
Raising the debt ceiling lets the U.S. Treasury borrow the money it needs to pay all USA bills and obligations on time. I have no idea, and I’m guessing that most of his supporters wouldn’t either.
