Ben Carson Used Fetal Tissue in Medical Research
While at the federal level Democrats blocked Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, state lawmakers around the country have launched investigations into Planned Parenthood’s practices or introduced legislation aimed at fetal tissue research.

Carson said the previous fetal tissue research does not contradict his pro-life views.
The Center for Medical Progress has been under fire from Planned Parenthood for “heavily selective editing” and trying to demonize the organization for their selling of fetal organs and tissues for profit.
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, has recently been exposed in videos of manipulating abortion procedures so that they can retrieve unharmed baby parts in order to sell them.
The study, which carefully examined brain and nasal tissue obtained from aborted fetuses and deceased adults to analyze the development of cysts, was published by Carson and three other medical researchers at Johns Hopkins Department of Neurology in Baltimore.
“If you’re killing babies and taking the tissue, that’s a very different thing than taking a dead specimen and keeping a record of it”, Dr. Carson told The Washington Post.
Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a new statement that moves to eliminate its funding were “political grandstanding”.
Every Friday at noon, Jennifer Lewis, of Waynesboro and a group of about 20 other people demonstrate on Hydraulic Road, in front of Planned Parenthood in Albemarle County. In the video, O’Donnell, a licensed phlebotomist, talked about the job she was hired to do by StemExpress, how she nearly passed out, and how fetal tissue was taken without consent.
“The bulk of what Planned Parenthood does is provide medically accurate, compassionate, unbiased care to thousands of Arkansans”. While he believes the organization should no longer receive it’s annual funding of more than $500 million, Carson believes fetal tissue research should continue. It can respond to environmental stimulus. “There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or for Planned Parenthood“, Richards continued.
In her blog post, Gunter sharply criticized the GOP presidential candidate. He respects human life, and he does not want Alabama to be associated with an organization that does not.

Carson said he has not used fetal tissue samples since then. They label it. They mark how it got there.
