Ben Roethlisberger has AC sprain, torn ligaments in throwing shoulder

Burfict, who delivered a season-ending hit to Steelers’ running back Le’Veon Bell, has caused controversy among players and fans of AFC North teams.

“I haven’t tried to throw a football since the game, and maybe that’s not even the right thing to do right away”, Roethlisberger said.

The NFL’s press release noted that Burfict “was penalized for unnecessary roughness for using his shoulder to make forcible contact to the head and neck area of a defenseless receiver”. “I know he was faking”, Jones said on The Dan Patrick Show.

There were 18 penalties, seven of which were of the 15-yard variety, including one on Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Mike Munchak for pulling the hair of Bengals safety Reggie Nelson on the Pittsburgh sideline.

“When (Sunday) gets here…he will be cleared…24 hours before the game”, Jones said. “Personally, I don’t think it is because I don’t think you can get out of the way fast enough”, Harrison said on NFL Network following the game, per Will Brinson of CBS Sports.

“I can’t tell you anything about what Antonio Brown did in the past, I can only tell you that statement was outrageous”, Kasdan said.

The NFL announced on Monday that Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been suspended for the first three games of the 2016 season. The two flags moved the Steelers from the Cincinnati 47 to the 17, where kicker Chris Boswell made a 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining to lift the Steelers to the two-point win. Despite his ability to get back on the field then, and despite a report from Monday suggesting that he’s certain to play, Roethlisberger indicated he remains uncertain of just what this weekend will bring.

Ben Roethlisberger admitted on Tuesday that he is a major doubt for Sunday’s National Football League playoff game at Denver after suffering torn ligaments and an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder. The league disagrees – it was the final straw in the three-game suspension they handed Burfict earlier this week.
