Ben Roethlisberger has torn ligaments in throwing shoulder
If you saw Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict’s hit on Steelers receiver Antonio Brown this past Saturday, then the NFL’s decision on Monday to suspend Burfict for the first three games of the 2016-2017 season was no surprise. Roethlisberger was injured in Saturday’s 18-16 win over the Bengals when linebacker Vontaze Burfict sacked him and kneed him in the shoulder.

During the interview Jones says that he will apologize to Brown if Brown does not play Sunday against Denver.
They have just that this weekend thanks to the way the Cincinnati Bengals imploded with personal fouls in the final minute of their wild-card game against Pittsburgh last weekend. The Steelers’ longtime franchise signal-caller appeared on The Cook and Poni show on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan on Tuesday and revealed that he suffered an AC joint sprain and some torn ligaments as a result of the hit from Burfict.
Tomlin said the Steelers will get backup Landry Jones ready in case Roethlisberger is unable to play. Running back Deangelo Williams is also hurt, so the Steelers could be missing some of their key offensive players on Sunday. “We assumed and hoped, and it has worked out”.
“But you know and I know”, Jones added, “when Saturday gets here… he will be cleared Friday, I promise you, 24 hours before the game”.
“It’s more of a petition for players’ safety”, Johnson said. Antonio Brown, a first-team All-Pro and arguably the NFL’s best wide receiver, finished the regular season with a preposterous 136 receptions for 1,834 yards. That, along with a subsequent unsportsmanlike conduct call on Jones, put the Steelers in position to kick the game-winning field goal. “We don’t want him to be messed up”.
“We’re glad we have him, “Lewis said about McCarron on Monday”.

But third of all, Porter’s antics – which according to a Forbes report directly violate Article 1, Section 8 of the National Football League rulebook – marks the second time in three years that a Steelers coach has gone onto the field of play, and in doing so, has directly and illegally influenced a game.
