Bench Warrant Issued For Tyga’s Arrest

If he fails to show up to court, a judge may issue a bench warrant for his arrest, according to Boris Treyzon, the landlord’s attorney.

After Tyga (Michael Ray Stevenson) failed to show up in court today (August 9), a judge reportedly issued a bench warrant for the Compton rapper’s arrest, according to a new report by TMZ.

Tyga rented the price the Malibu mansion in 2011, which came with a price tag of $16,000 a month.

Tyga was sued over the issue in 2012, and lost a default judgment. Some of it was in ways one might expect, if a renter was particularly careless: mars to hardwood floors, and damage to both the gate opener and a glass-tiled shower.

“He leased a house that he wanted to use as his primary residence, then he completely trashed it”, Treyzon alleged.

The total, which has a 10 percent annual interest rate applied to it, accounted for the back rent, damages and legal fees the landlord incurred in the case, Treyzon told the paper. “Tyga hasn’t paid the judgment, so the landlord wants to know where Tyga’s hiding his assets”. A contractor served a notice for the rapper to attend a debtor’s hearing as he was on stage at a concert in San Diego on July 20.

“We got the judgment entered, and now it’s collection time”, Treyzon said.

A publicist for Tyga did not respond to an after-hours request for comment.
