Marvel has released a brand-new video featurette asking “Who is Marvel’s Doctor Strange?” and featuring interviews with Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange), Tilda Swinton (the Ancient One), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Karl Mordo) and Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige. This featurette serves as an introduction to the character Doctor Strange, most likely aimed more so at people unfamiliar with the Marvel hero. Let’s hope that unusual doesn’t find himself equally entranced by the possibilities of magic, for all our sakes…
“Strange is incredibly arrogant, brilliant, sort of extraordinary, and his need to control fate, to control destiny and, in particular, death has brought him to the height of his profession as a neurosurgeon”, explains Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the eponymous Stephen Strange. “He soon realizes the potential for him to help on a grander scale than he ever knew existed”.
From Marvel comes “Doctor Strange”, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific auto accident robs him of the use of his hands.
