The only difference in the premium variant is better rubber – shod with Metzeler tyres, while the base variant gets standard MRF tyres. Where the Standard variant gets MRF tyres as standard – 110/70 17 at the front and 150/60 17 at the rear – the Premium variant gets the super sticky Metzeler tyres in the same profiles. DSK Motowheels currently operates out of a leased facility in Wai but now will move to its own 22-acre facility as the portfolio of bikes offered by the company is expanding.

The TNT 25 is available in two variants – Standard, priced at Rs. 1.68 lakh and Premium, priced at Rs. 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). According to Kulkarni, the facility now can assemble upto 25 motorcycles per day as against its last year’s assembly capacity of 10 units per day. The TNT25 is the entry-level motorcycle from the Italian brand, which has made its way to India through a partnership between Benelli and DSK.

The brand is now sold via 15 dealerships, and the company plans to boost this number to 25 dealerships in next one year. The bike was unveiled in India at the India Bike Week 2015 in Goa. These models were commercially launched in March 2015 across nine dealerships then.

The DSK Benelli TNT 25 has been launched at 1,68,000.

The icing on the cake is the range of customisation options Benelli is offering to TNT 25 owners. This is understood to pep up its sales decently from the lower end. Despite being 50cc smaller than the engine found in the Mahindra Mojo, the engine of the Benelli TNT 25 produces more power than its competitor.

According to the company officials, it has already received close to 250 soft bookings of the TNT 25.

DSK Benelli is banking a lot on the TNT25.
