Bengals have opportunity against 0-2 Ravens
Flacco has to find a way to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, who have caused him more trouble than any team in his career.

The Ravens have reached the postseason in six of Harbaugh’s first seven seasons.
It looks like Brandon Thompson will play for the first time this season on Sunday. Harbaugh’s last win against Cincinnati was in November 2013. This is the third week in a row that Nelson has been dealing with the groin issue, but he started and played a significant portion of each of the first two games. But the Ravens handled Perriman as best as they possibly could and he’ll be able to make plays for the Ravens before long.
The Ravens are playing through a serious shortage of playmakers for quarterback Joe Flacco, a fact that has contributed to the team’s 0-2 start.
All-time Series 20-18 Ravens, Bengals have won 3 straight and 4 of last 5.
He couldn’t possibly think the Bengals are better than the Patriots, the Packers or even the Steelers, could he? Baltimore has scored 23.0 points per game this year and is ranked 16th overall. “We thought we stretched the field, and we try to do that every single week if we can, both horizontally and vertically”.
Baltimore parted ways with veteran deep threat Torrey Smith in the offseason and gambled instead that Perriman could help fill that void in the offense. Andy Dalton has yet to turn the ball over or be sacked.
Dalton simply can not handle the Ravens defense, especially when forced to throw often. Dalton enters Week 3 as the only quarterback in the league who has started each of his team’s first two games and has yet to be sacked or throw an interception.2. His status for this week’s game against the Bengals is uncertain.
The Ravens made a move to enhance the pass defense Monday by acquiring cornerback Will Davis from Miami for a seventh-round draft pick.
Defensive tackle Pat Sims (hip) and right tackle Andre Smith (buttocks) did not practice. Remember, for as much roster turnover as this team has experienced and as much adversity as its faced, Baltimore has missed the playoffs only once in the six years since Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh came to town.
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Baltimore’s last 8 games when playing at home against Cincinnati. The biggest mismatch Baltimore can exploit there is with Justin Forsett going against weak-side linebacker Vincent Rey.
Bernard had 10 or fewer carries in four of his final five regular-season games past year, but figures to get more work after impressing against the Raiders. Rex Burkhead plays receiver and running back. He’ll have several one-on-one opportunities against Rey this week. He’s still young. He can make plays out in the field. Defensively, the Cincinnati Bengals yield 203 yards in passing and 97.0 yards in rushing. He finished 15th out of 97 defensive ends in PFF’s 2014 rankings.
But, you won’t see the Bengals signing any sympathy cards. They’ll get past a San Fran squad that loses a yard off its fastball away from home. The biggest difference this time around is that the Ravens have a losing record.
The Ravens are too good of a team to open the season 0-3. “Can’t look at the record and take them lightly”.
