The organization has yet to comment on Longino and the status of his tryout, but it may not be worth it for the Bengals to pursue him any longer considering his current situation. A search warrant was served and evidence taken.

According to a police source, all of this is part of an investigation into a homicide that occurred at the Sunny Spot Lounge in Cleveland Heights early Tuesday morning.

Cleveland Heights police told the station that they responded to a report of gunshots around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound in a auto in a parking lot. He’s reportedly being accused of tampering with evidence in an ongoing murder investigation.

Longino is being held on $100,000 bond, pending a first appearance in court. The man was taken to the hospital where he died. The former OH prep star recently posted online that the Bengals had invited him to an upcoming rookie tryout camp for undrafted players.

Longino spent the past three years with the Sun Devils after attending Hutchinson Community College, and he broke out in a big way during the 2015 campaign.

Our sister newspaper, the Arizona Republic, says Longino was set to report Thursday to Bengals mini-camp this weekend. He grew up in East Cleveland and had returned there to prepare for the National Football League draft. He also was a standout player at Cleveland Shaw High School.
