Bengaluru: 18-year-old girl raped in a moving bus, driver arrested
According to studies, the driving force had requested the cleaner to drive the auto whereas he allegedly raped the woman in the moving bus.

The incident took place on Thursday night at Hoskote on the city’s eastern outskirts.
“The accused asked the cleaner to drive the bus while he raped her and dumped her on the roadside at Nagagondanahalli”, Ramesh said. She was later admitted to a nearby government hospital. The bus was registered in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. After recording her version of the incident in Kannada, police gets into action and arrested the two people and seized the bus.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeshwar Reacting to the incident said, appropriate action will be taken against the accused. Further details are awaited. The jurisdictional Sulibele police have registered a case of rape under section 376 of the IPC and have also charged the accused under sections of the SC/ST Atrocities Act since the victim is a dalit woman. The rape allegedly occurred in a mini-bus near Lakondanahalli cross.
“The girl went to her work place after the incident and complained of giddiness”. The incident is the latest in a string of episodes highlighting the rising violence against women in the country.

Meanwhile, Putta Obula Reddy, Circle Inspector, said that the police nabbed the accused at Hoskote on Friday afternoon. However none of the accused is convicted till date.
