Benghazi Victims’ Parents Sue Hillary Clinton for Wrongful Death, Defamation
The parents of two Americans killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks have filed a federal lawsuit against Hillary Clinton on Monday, 8 August.

The lawsuit alleges the former Secretary of State was directly responsible for the deaths of Sean Smith, a State Department communications specialist, and Central Intelligence Agency contractor Tyrone Woods, two of four men who died on the night of September 11, 2012. “This information was compromised from the second that it left Defendant Clinton’s private email server and easily found its way to foreign powers including, but not limited to Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea”.
While no such connection has ever been established, their lawsuit called it “highly probable” that Clinton sent and received information about the activities of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
They also allege four other causes of action for the lawsuit: defamation, false lighting, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. She thus defamed the parents of fallen heroes Tyrone Woods and Sean Smith, as well committed other wrongful acts, as alleged in the complaint.
The complaint notes Clinton lied to plaintiffs and the public at large that the Benghazi attacks were caused by Islamic reaction to an anti-Muslim YouTube video posted on the internet in an effort to save President Barack Obama’s re-election and, in turn her own chances at the 2016 presidency.
Smith and Woods claim that as a result of the above, “it was reasonably foreseeable that Islamic terrorists would premeditatedly kill” their children.
James Comey, in announcing the findings of the FBI’s investigation of her private e-mail server last month, said it was “possible that hostile actors gained access” to it.
During an interview on Fox News Sunday, Clinton denied telling family members of the victims that the attack was sparked by an anti-Islam video and not terrorism.
A Clinton spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Recently, former acting CIA Director Michael Morell, in endorsing Clinton’s presidential campaign, said both were true at the same time.
Clinton has attempted to “paint Plaintiffs as liars in the public eye in order to discredit Plaintiffs, who have been vocal about Defendant Clinton’s pattern and practice of dishonesty regarding what caused the Benghazi attack, its aftermath, and the death of their sons”, read the court papers. Patricia Smith, one of the plaintiffs and mother of Sean, gave an impassioned speech at the Republican National Convention in July, where she placed the blame for her son’s death squarely on Secretary Clinton.
She instead suggested the family members misunderstood her because they were overwhelmed by grief.

The “Plaintiffs pray for relief and judgment against Defendant Clinton as follows: (a) For general (non-economic), special (economic), actual, compensatory and punitive damages to be determined by a jury”, and are demanding a trial by jury for all of the charges.
