Bentley Bentayga Fly Fishing edition created by Mulliner
Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding division Mulliner has equipped the Bentayga Fly Fishing’s boot with an installation in which all the essentials for a day of fly fishing can be stored.

There are four handmade fly-fishing rods, each individually stored in a special tube under the parcel shelf, trimmed in saddle leather with linen cross-stitching, as well as a pair of landing nets in matching leather bags in a specially designed carpeted hard pocket built into the side of the boot. This includes a “master tackle” station, a refreshment case and, most importantly for the preservation of your sumptuous leather interior, a waterproof trunk for your waders, complete with electronic dehumidifier to keep things fresh. The largest is the master tackle station, which features Burr Walnut veneered drawers and a selection of tackle.
It’s crafted with a waterproof wooden frame swaddled in saddle leather, and hand stitched with linen. In the adjacent sections you’ll find a refreshment case with three metal flasks, fine china and a separate compartment to store your caviar. The set can also be removed from the luggage space and be used as additional seating.
Finally, the wader trunk is made of wood and wrapped in leather, but lined with neoprene so that wet clothes won’t damage it, or the SUV’s trunk itself. The whole boot area is water proof and dehumidified, with rear sill protection covers also included.
Try as one might, he won’t be fly fishing all the time, so the Mulliner kit removes to return the Bentayga trunk to normal. That should be the icing on this cake.
The final touch is a set of Mulliner “welcome lights” – the first on a Bentayga – under the doors, each of which projects the Bentley and Mulliner logos on to the ground when the door is opened. “This is an individual bespoke solution and our skilled craftspeople can design elegant and exquisitely executed bespoke solutions to complement any customer lifestyle or hobby”.
“The Bentayga Fly Fishing auto showcases the breadth and level of detail a customer can expect from Mulliner”, says Geoff Dowding, Mulliner director.
The Responsive Off-Road Settings allow the customer to select the appropriate vehicle settings for a wide range of off-road surfaces, while the Driver Information Panel displays information on pitch, roll, wheel articulation, steering angle, compass bearing and altitude.

If Bentley are going to get this niche with the Bentayga, we can certainly look forward to special editions like the Glorious Twelfth Bentayga and Windsor Lawn Bentayga before too long.
