Instead of digging through menus on the vehicle’s infotainment system, or leaning forward to reach a button, lounging passengers can simply reach down to their Apple Watch and adjust functions like the vehicle’s massaging seats or change radio stations.
With the help of Bentley’s Apple Watch app, owners of Bentayga SUV can remotely control the on-board climate and entertainment systems of their vehicles with just a click.
The watch also allows the riders to monitor things like the vehicle speed, distance traveled, and outside temperature. “This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience”, said Bentley Director of Electrical and Electronics Dan Whittaker. The app connects to the vehicle system using Bluetooth connectivity.
The app also lets those being driven in a Bentayga adjust the seats, music, and temperature.

Smartwatch connectivity is not new to the automotive world: several automakers, including Porsche, Tesla, and BMW, offer such apps.
