Berger surges to three-shot lead
BLAINE, Minn. – Monday qualifier Glen Day (Little Rock) shot a 7-under 65 in flawless conditions to take the first-round lead in the PGA Tour Champions’ 3M Championship.

IT was just as well Australia’s Marc Leishman birdied the last hole to regain a share of the lead after the second round of the Travelers Championship being played at TPC River Highlands in CT.
Van Aswegen is winless on the PGA Tour and has just two pro victories to his name on the South African Sunshine Tour.

“Again, I started off real nervous and found a rhythm, so hopefully tomorrow I can find a rhythm a little earlier”, van Aswegen said.
Koepka spent the day sparring with playing partner Daniel Summerhays, who also had four birdies on the back nine, before hitting a tree on his drive at the par-4 18th.
With rain forecasted to befall the course on Saturday, third-round tee times have been moved up to 7-9 a.m. EST, with threesomes teeing off on the front and back tees.
In the quarterfinals today, Alejandro Canizares will face England’s James Morrison; Germany’s Max Kieffer will play England’s Oliver Fisher; England’s Anthony Wall will face South Africa’s Hayden Porteous; and Alex Noren will play Johan Carlsson in an all-Swedish match.
“I’m not far out of it”, Watson said. “But if it’s not this year then I’ll look toward the next one, but I know I’ll be great in that environment and I’ll be tough to beat, whoever Mr. Clarke put up against me”.

Alker, who carded a one-under 70 in the first round, collected five birdies in a bogey-free display on day two at the Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate. He holed a 6-footer on par-4 11th, and made four straight on Nos.
