Bern Your Enthusiasm: Larry David And Bernie Sanders Are Sort Of Twins
Larry David took his celebrated impression of Bernie Sanders to a new level on Saturday with a spoof episode of “Bern your Enthusiasm” on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. David was playing a character who was trying to get off the doomed boat before the women and children. “I am so sick of the one-percent getting this preferential treatment”, Sanders boomed, coming on set waving his finger and wearing a vest and newsboy cap.

For anyone expecting Sanders to show up during the show’s cold opening or other sketches, NPR points out that it was all Larry David’s show, even when he was mocking the Democratic socialist from Vermont.
Right on queue, Bernie Sanders appears dressed in period costume and a flat cap to shout David down. Melissa McCarthy is returning to host after a year away from the show, and she will be joined by a musical guest in Kanye West who always likes to do big, experimental pieces during some of his performances.
What did you think of Bernie on SNL? Sanders’ Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, has appeared on “SNL” several times, most recently in October.
“Democratic socialism”, quipped Sanders, adding that the difference between the two is “yuge”.
After David’s first appearance as Sanders, when he teased him for his clothes and rough-around-the-edges look, the senator joked with reporters he did in fact own more than one pair of underwear.
Bernie Sanders, er, Bernie Sanderswitzki made a cameo on “Saturday Night Live” last night. Sanders told David that he was going to change his name when he arrived in America to sound less Jewish.
Upon hearing there was a “huge turnout” for the election, Sanders mistakenly believes himself to have won – but he actually loses by. You know why? You might get dookie on your hand, but you know what else you’ll get?
In a throwback to the host’s former HBO show, the SNL team did a sketch called “Bern Your Enthusiasm”. The sketch should prove amusing to anyone who enjoys watching Larry David do his thing, but it’s especially amusing if you’ve seen Curb Your Enthusiasm and can appreciate how accurately it captures the rhythm of that show.

Sanders hates the super rich. David just hates people.
