Bernie Sanders and Hillary deadlocked in Nevada poll

“In her book and in this last debate, she talked about getting the approval or the support or the mentoring of Henry Kissinger”, said Sanders, reported ABC News.

“Madame Secretary, that is a low blow”, responded Sanders. “He has called him a disappointment”, said Clinton. Whether the question was about race relations or foreign policy, he managed to turn his answer back to the corrupt campaign finance system and the rigged economy.

If you look at a Democratic delegate tracker like this one from The New York Times, you’ll find that Hillary Clinton has a massive 394-44 delegate lead over Bernie Sanders so far, despite having been walloped by Sanders in New Hampshire and only essentially having tied him in Iowa.

While Clinton is trying to become America’s first female president, it was Sanders – a democratic socialist who would be the first Jewish president – who tried to drape his candidacy in a bit of history, saying: “I think a Sanders victory would be of some historical accomplishment as well”.

Seeking to boost his support with minorities, Mr Sanders called for reforms to a “broken criminal justice system” that incarcerates a disproportionate number of minorities. She stepped in and said that by economists’ estimates, the government would grow 40 per cent under Sanders. In one of many moments of agreement between the candidates, Clinton concurred on a need to fix the criminal justice system, but cast her proposals for fighting racial inequality as broader than his.

Clyburn is the third-ranking member of the Congressional Black Caucus, several members of which have thrown their support behind former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

” Sanders blamed Kissinger for destabilizing the political situation in Southeast Asian countries and paving the way for the Khmer Rouge’s mass killing of 3 million people in Cambodia”. “Hardworking immigrant families living in fear should be brought out of the shadows so they and their children can have a better future”, she added.

In the sharpest exchange of the night, Clinton attacked Sanders for being too critical of Obama, who is extremely popular with the black voters who will play a big role in the outcome in SC and other upcoming nominating contests.

Rubio, looking to re-establish his footing after a fifth-place finish in New Hampshire, lashed out at Trump, Cruz and Bush Thursday saying none of them possess foreign policy experience required of a commander-in-chief.

Clinton hugged Obama tightly all evening, as a way of validating her own liberal credentials, and as a way of undermining Sanders with liberal and black voters who are fond of the two-term president. She wants Sanders to be viewed as a dreamy Grandpa without a clue.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Sanders moved on to campaign in Minnesota today. “My overall assessment is that this was a serious and informative debate…but not the kind that is likely to change the trajectory of this race going forward”, she says. Still, he points out that Clinton and Sanders did not shy away from sharply attacking each other on Thursday and showed a desire for “survival” at the other’s expense.

“Why in God’s name does Wall Street make huge campaign contributions?” he asked rhetorically. “Most are what’s called committed delegates, and they’re instructed by the voters in their respective states”. It’s the first poll conducted in the state this year.
