Bernie Sanders and John Kasich win first votes cast in New Hampshire
“Everything is moving our way”, was all Kasich would say in his only interaction with the news media on the eve of America’s first primary. The Washington Post reported Clinton conceded the state to Sanders shortly after polls closed. And in 2012, Jon Huntsman won just as many votes – two – as Mitt Romney, the party’s eventual nominee.

That predictive power explains why Dixville Notch’s results might get more attention early Tuesday than the other two towns to vote at midnight.
With Donald Trump dominating the polls in New Hampshire for weeks, Kasich’s ceiling is viewed as second place, which would certainly earn him a ticket into the next round of competition and, at least as important, open donors’ checkbooks to replenish his campaign coffers.
In total Kasich has held 190 events in New Hampshire, according to a candidate tracker put together by NECN.

Trump took some jabs at his competition. “Getting re-elected”, says Trump.
A final poll released Monday showed Kasich, Rubio, Cruz and Bush tightly bunched.
Of this year’s presidential hopefuls, so far only Republican candidate John Kasich has visited the town.
On the Democratic front, the Clinton campaign has been launching all-out attacks on her insurgent challenger, Senator Sanders. However, CNN reported that congressional Democrats are preparing to oppose Sanders in the coming weeks as the fight moves to SC. Mark Stewart Greenstein, a Democratic candidate from the Live Free or Die Alliance, also got two votes. Tipis traveled New Hampshire to hear Kasich in person.

But the Granite State’s high numbers of independent and undecided voters have injected unpredictability into the contest. The Secretary of State predicts more than half a million people.
