Bernie Sanders Appears on SNL; Speaks Against The One Percent
The credits for a new HBO series, Bern Your Enthusiasm, ran across the screen, before opening on David as Bernie Sanders at a presidential rally in Iowa.

With Sanders-impresario Larry David hosting Saturday Night Live the weekend before the New Hampshire primary, the Vermont senator himself made a cameo.
“Yeah, that’ll trick ’em!” jokes David, before the two realize they’ve actually crash-landed in NY. “Enough is enough! We need to unite and work together, if we are all going to get through this”.
“Sounds like socialism to me”, David replies.
Sanders, however, didn’t feature until later in the show, starting by picking a fight with David on a steam ship destined for America way back when. Also fact: Larry David needs to host SNL more often – or at least make cameos as Bernie whenever possible (alongside Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton and Darrell Hammond as Trump, preferably). I am so sick of the 1 percent getting this preferential treatment. I don’t care if the hand has dukie on it. You’ll get dukie hands – but you know what else you’ll get?
The real Bernie embraces David’s impression of him, telling CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “I am Larry David”, during a Democratic town hall on Wednesday.
Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., speaks during a campaign stop at the Franklin Pierce University Fieldhouse, Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Rindge, N.H. The sketch, which features Sanders refusing to shake a black woman’s hand because it’s covered in germs, is easily one of the smartest decisions SNL made last night.

“How are things going up in New Hampshire?” “Huge difference”, Sanders responds, a nod to both Donald Trump and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Just ask Sarah Palin, who, thanks to Tina Fey’s wonderful impression (and Palin’s own actions), is now for many simply a punchline.
