Sanders was thumping the former secretary of state by a 57-37 percent margin in New Hampshire right before the Iowa caucuses, but he now holds a slim 51-44 percent lead, according to the new Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald poll of 407 likely Democratic primary voters conducted February 2-6.
Former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea introduced Clinton and campaigned for her through Monday.
“When you’re making a revolution you can’t be too careful with the facts”, Clinton said in a speech to supporters Sunday in Milford, New Hampshire, The New York Times reported.
At a rally in a school Mr Clinton said his wife’s supporters had suffered “unbelievable personal attacks” on the internet from those of Mr Sanders. He described some of their language against Hillary as misogynistic, the Times said.
Sanders was to campaign in New Hampshire on Sunday following his cameo appearance on “Saturday Night Live”.
And on Friday, 81-year-old feminist Gloria Steinem, a Clinton supporter, asserted that young women are flocking to Sanders because “the boys are with Bernie”.
The chair of the Michigan Republican Party, Ronna Romney McDaniel, accused Clinton of using Flint families as “political pawns” and said the visit was a “calculated campaign tactic – an attempt to grab headlines by a struggling campaign”.
Bill Clinton was referring to a CNN story that detailed Sanders’ fundraising with big-wig Democratic donors.
He detailed Hillary Clinton’s healthcare reform initiatives and education reform programs before defending her legacy saying, “that doesn’t strike me as establishment”. “What happened in Flint is immoral”, she said. She added that Albright already issued that statement since 2008 when she also supported Clinton’s race against Barack Obama.
A frustrated and fearful Bill Clinton has unleashed a torrent of criticism at Senator Bernie Sanders calling him removed from reality and “dishonest” in his campaign to become the Democratic nominee.
For many people at the church, having Clinton’s commitment to them, brings them hope.
Sanders has been leading Clinton by double-digits in most polls leading up to the primary.

On Saturday, Clinton said during a town hall meeting in Henniker that her proposals to address college affordability and to build upon Obama’s health care law were superior to Sanders’ approach.
