George Clooney on Sunday admitted that the amount of money he’s raised for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is “obscene”.

After a day of various campaign stops, Trump, Kasich and Cruz all addressed the New York State Republican Gala at the Grand Hyatt hotel on 42nd Street Thursday night.

Clinton has led the polls, and in a tacit acknowledgement that the election is likely to be tough, Sanders plans to be in soon-to-vote Pennsylvania on Tuesday night.

Clinton’s position on the minimum wage has been a nuanced one throughout the campaign, leaving her open to attacks from Sanders supporters.

“I think that what’s happened is that I’ve become a little bit exhausted of being beaten up by the negativity of the Clinton campaign”, Sanders answered back, “and we are responding in kind”. Total viewership on Thursday was roughly in line with the viewership for the two Democratic debates last month. The former senator, who previously endorsed a $12-per-hour federal minimum wage, said she would also sign legislation raising that level to $15. “They’re absolutely right. It is an obscene amount of money”, Clooney said in excerpts released on Saturday.

When asked about energy security and environment, Clinton alluded to efforts made by her as secretary of state to help find solutions for the global environmental crisis.

He added: “This is the issue of American politics today”. The ones he and other Democratic donors support “would probably cost us a lot of money” while “the Koch brothers would probably profit if they get their way”. A Sanders upset over Clinton would shake up the race, raising fresh concerns about her candidacy and breathing new life into the Vermont senator’s campaign.
