Bernie Sanders: Democratic Convention Will Be Contested
In her speech Mrs Clinton, who is fighting Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination, rejected Mr Trump’s foreign policy points, and called him thin-skinned, irrational and unprepared.

Hillary now has 2,316 delegates. “It is extremely unlikely that Secretary Clinton will have the requisite number of pledged delegates to claim victory on Tuesday night”.
Clinton now leads Sanders by 269 pledged delegates, so Sanders needs to take 68 percent of the pledged delegates left to erase Clinton’s lead. In order to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination, a contender needs to hit the 2,383 delegate mark.
With 546 Democratic delegates available, California is the single most influential state this primary season.
Superdelegates are party officials who get to vote on the Democrats’ presidential nominee. Per the AP delegate tracker, this includes pledged delegates and superdelegates.
“In terms of delegate math I think there is some confusion in the media”, Sanders said.
The editorial board wrote that Clinton “is not only more knowledgeable about domestic and worldwide affairs than Sanders, but also more likely to achieve objectives they have in common”. He said it’s not about the fact that candidates are celebrities but that they are a part of the “greatest democracy of the world”.
Earlier in the day, at Los Angeles Mission College in Sylmar, Clinton attacked Donald Trump for talking in “hateful, very prejudicial, really unacceptable ways”. Then on Sunday, Puerto Rico Democrats hold their primary, with 60 delegates at stake. Or, as Bernie Sanders so succinctly put it “six longs weeks from today”.
The Democratic nomination will likely be wrapped up this week. “So I will let the lawsuits go on”, Clinton said.
“I don’t want insiders to decide what’s going on”, said Sanders supporter Jim Carpenter.
The Virgin Islands is one of five USA territories that casts votes in primaries and caucuses to decide the nominee, even though those residents aren’t eligible to vote in November.
“We have the establishment very nervous and that is a good thing”, Sanders declared at a rally late Thursday at the University of California-Davis, which reportedly drew about 9,000 people. There are 475 delegates up for grabs in that state alone, awarded proportionally. He promised to continue his fight for the Democratic nomination until the last vote is given and he will do exactly what he said.

Clinton will travel to the strawberry growing town of Oxnard, the affluent city of Santa Barbara and the agriculture hub of Fresno later Saturday, while Sanders will hold a town hall at the Casa del Mexicano cultural center in Los Angeles.
