Bernie Sanders Gets the SNL Treatment With His Doppelganger, Larry David
Larry David channeled Bernie Sanders last night when he hosted “Saturday Night Live”, combining his spot-on impression of the Democratic presidential candidate along with his HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for a parody called “Bern Your Enthusiasm”.

Live from NY it’s Saturday Night!
Sanders and David later appear together on stage to throw over to the night’s musical guest.
The real Sanders then appeared with David after the commercial break: “So how’s it going in New Hampshire?”
In total, the David show drew a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which basically means that the show did better than nearly every other comedy on TV this past week. They started off with Adam Driver fresh off of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, and following him we also had a chance to see Ronda Rousey try something completely different from her comfort zone.
Sanders plays a character named “Bernie Sanderswitsky”, who chides a millionaire played by Larry David for wanting first dibs on lifeboats, ahead of the women and children, as the ship they’re on is sinking (the skit is presumably set in the early 20th century, on the Titanic).
Sanders’ character doesn’t hold himself apart from his fellow passengers. “Enough is enough! We need to unite and work together, if we are all going to get through this”. David, inevitably, played an older Ruxin, and did a splendid job playing with the surpassingly obnoxious character that Nick Kroll originated. He starred as “Bernie Sanderswitzky”, who plans on changing his name once he arrives in America so it doesn’t “sound so Jewish”.
