Bernie Sanders: Kaine Too Conservative, Prefer a Progressive
Several emails posted by Wikileaks show DNC officials scoffing at Sanders and his supporters and in one instance, questioning his commitment to his Jewish religion.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Sen.
Prior to winning his senate seat in 2012, Kaine’s political resume includes lieutenant governor of Virginia, governor of Virginia and chair of the Democratic National Committee. “So we know that there are Republicans who share our concerns and want to be part of the solution, not just peddling fear and bigotry”, Clinton said.
And she told Pelley, “I’ll tell ya one thing, that is one lesson I have learned the hard way, and there will not be any such thing in the White House”.
Sanders says the party chairwoman, Rep., Debbie Wasserman Schultz, should resign immediately.
According to a straw poll of 285 Sanders delegates held by the Bernie Delegates Network, 88 percent called Kaine “unacceptable” as Clinton’s running mate. “Do you consider Tim Kaine a progressive, and are you happy with this pick?”
The Vermont senator said Kaine has views that are “more conservative” than his, which he has described as democratic socialist.
Also on the short list were Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, who has been friends with the Clintons for decades and is from another key battleground state, Pennsylvania; and Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, a Latino seen as a true liberal. In fact, in an interview earlier this month on NBC’s Meet the Press, Kaine even admitted, “I am boring”. Donald Trump accepted the GOP nomination, but party divisions flared when his chief rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, refused to endorse the billionaire businessman. The 58-year-old moderate Democrat could appeal to Republicans who have been unsettled by Trump’s candidacy.
“You have helped shape us”, Holton said.
“I’m sure he’s not going to opine on whether a carbon tax is better than a cap-and-trade mechanism”, Kaine said of the pope days before the encyclical was published in 2015.
On Sunday, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told CNN’s “State of the Union” that he believes Russian hackers are behind the disclosure, and they did it to benefit Donald Trump. Sanders’ supporters say they are concerned that Kaine is not progressive enough.
Dan O’Neal, 68, is a retired school teacher and delegate from Arizona, said Wasserman Schultz has to be censured.
They made a point to point out their similarities. In a tweet, he contended that Sanders supporters are “furious”.
How the emails were stolen hasn’t been confirmed. And “any objective observer will conclude that – based on her ideas and her leadership – Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States”. That may not satisfy Sanders delegates. And watch Tuesday’s roll call of the states.
Much of Monday’s program appeared aimed at giving Sanders’ backers an opportunity to express their frustration before the convention moved on to focus on speakers who strongly support Clinton, such as first lady Michelle Obama.
Kaine, a former choir member at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, sang a solo during Communion.

Kaine added: “It is beneath the character of the kind of dialogue we should have, because we’ve got real serious problems to solve”. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and offered tepid praise of her choice of Sen.
