Bernie Sanders Leaves Door Open on Being Clinton’s VP
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders speaks at a campaign rally Sunday in Piscataway, N.J. “Bernie wants to lead a movement”, said Roger Hickey, co-director of Campaign for America’s Future, a liberal group sympathetic to the Vermont senator.

“If Sanders were to win 100 percent of the pledged delegates, then maybe some of the superdelegates would flip, but it seems like an unlikely outcome”, said Shana Kushner Gadarian, an assistant professor of political science at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School.
Hillary Clinton has won the Guam Democratic caucuses, according to unofficial results announced by the island territory’s Democratic Party chairman Joaquin Perez.
Even though Clinton doesn’t need to win California’s primary to wrap up the nomination, it behooves her to spend time here to try to unite the party, said Jim Ross, a San Francisco-based Democratic consultant.
She now has a total of 2,224 delegates, or 93 percent of the 2,383 delegates needed to win.
“Where was Hillary?” – Win, lose, or draw on primary night, I think a candidate has to give a speech. They’re evenly split by gender, which means Clinton will have two male and two female delegates, while Sanders will have one male and one female.
Palin was the vice presidential candidate on the Republican ticket in 2008 and now is a prominent Trump supporter.
But she also vowed to not to engage in the sort of mudslinging that helped her Republican rival vanquish his challengers for the nomination. Under the current rules, the superdelegates are able to vote for whoever they choose.
This could have provided quite a dramatic feature item for a local newspaper, especially given the fact that a ragtag, volunteer campaign had defeated the Clinton juggernaut-a juggernaut reinforced by Clinton’s eight years of representing New York State in the U.S. Senate, the backing of Clinton by every major Democratic politician in the state, and the loyal campaigning for Clinton by the Albany Democratic “machine”. “We’re going to put the miners back to work”, Trump said to loud cheers.
Devine told me the senator is still angry about some of the attacks he took from the Clinton campaign, particularly the charge that he owes an apology to victims of gun violence for his record on gun control.
“These remarks are an insult to our community and they trivialize the disenfranchisement of our people in selecting our president”, she added.
These figures do not include the “superdelegates”, elected party officials who can also vote at the convention and who mostly support the ex-secretary of state.
“Someone like Barack Obama on Election Day, people were fired up to get out of bed and go vote”, Moore said. “But it’s not enough to just be against Donald Trump”.
In an election season rife with complaints about the superdelegate system, ME appears to be the first state to initiate change.
The Hill reported on April 29 that both the DNC and Clinton campaign are taking a hard line against Sanders’ more progressive ideas, like tuition-free public colleges and universal healthcare, into the Democratic Party platform.

“She’s married to a man who was the worst abuser of women in the history of politics”, Trump said of Clinton as he addressed supporters at the Spokane Convention Center just days after becoming the presumptive Republican nominee.
