Bernie Sanders makes ‘SNL’ appearance with Larry David
The comedian compared the role to Tina Fey’s take on Sarah Palin where they each had the “exact right look” for the part.

Whether that holds true or not, Bernie Sanders appearing on the show has many positives for the campaign, the New York Post wrote.
The news comes by way of Deadline, who report that Sanders will stop by SNL while Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David hosts this weekend. Trump hosted an entire episode in November, which featured David loudly heckling the Republican hopeful, labeling him a racist during the monologue in a rehearsed bit.
In his first “SNL” hosting appearance, David certainly played to character, a familiar one – dyspeptic, self-lacerating, and disinclined to hyperbole.
Hours ahead of his appearance, Sanders showed his full support for friend and doppelgänger David, changing his website and Twitter profile momentarily.
Tonight, there’s a prettaaay pretty good chance that Sanders will join David in Studio 8H at some point during the SNL broadcast. I was really surprised.
With Bernie Sanders now set to make an appearance, SNL will have had three major presidential candidates on their sets this season.
Meyers moved on to ask Jost about his thoughts on Donald Trump placing second in Iowa. Sanders, a passenger, walked up to David, saying: “I am so sick of the 1 percent getting this preferential treatment – enough is enough!”

In keeping with Sanders’ reputation for occasional crankiness, the sketch revolved around Sanders, as played by David, resisting efforts to shake hands with a voter after she coughed into her hand. His Democratic rival Hillary Clinton went on the show in October. Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
