Bernie Sanders needs MI win today to close gap with Hillary Clinton

Michigan’s primary could be Bernie Sanders’ last, best chance to challenge Hillary Clinton’s hold on the Democratic presidential race.

Meanwhile, Sanders’ campaign released a new radio ad in MI on Monday, hitting Clinton for being dishonest – though the ad does not mention her by name. When it was originally proposed, there were no plans to use the money to save the auto industry.

In Sunday night’s debate, Clinton declared that Sanders “was against the auto bailout”.

The New York Times writes that while naturalizations generally rise during an election year, Trump has provided an extra boost. David Vitter, a Republican, and the measure was defeated by 45 Democrats, including Clinton, and a handful of Republicans.

“Chip in to the March Victory Fund and let Hillary know you’re proud to be on this team”, she said in the email. He referred to the overall package as “the Wall Street bailout where some of your friends destroyed this economy”.

“There were two bus fulls – I couldn’t even get back to the one to campus right now because there was so many people going back” .

“Sometimes somebody says something to you, and it is untrue, so it took me about 12 seconds or less than that, I figure, to try to understand what she was saying”, Sanders explained.

Democratic presidential candidate, Sen. He said, “I think there are some who are that adamant about it who would”.

More exit polling data: More Democratic primary voters in MI and MS believe that trade with other countries takes away U.S.jobs than creates new ones.

“What I heard people talking about are all the things we care about in MI; making things, growing things, talking about the Great Lakes”, said Senator Debbie Stabenow. Sanders said he voted for the auto bailout when it came before the Senate as a separate bill that ultimately failed, and later voted against TARP.

Clinton’s campaign used the NRA’s tweets to support its argument that Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, is weak and out of touch on guns. Clinton won the Louisiana primary with a total of 35 delegates.

Tuesday’s pair of races comes on the heels of a nasty stretch of campaigning in which the former secretary of state accused Mr. Sanders of opposing the 2009 auto industry bailout, while he sharpened his attacks on her support of global trade deals and her closeness to Wall Street.

With one week until the primary elections in IL, presidential candidates from both parties have been focusing more on this state. To secure the Republican Party nomination, a candidate has to win at least 1,237 delegates.
