Bernie Sanders says he is ‘not actively involved in organised religion’
A new Clinton ad says she would build upon the health care law, “not start over”, and defend Planned Parenthood, “not attack it”, messages that reinforce charges she has made against Sanders.

“I know there was some discussion the other day about a Politico interview, where he was tipping the scale toward Secretary Clinton – I don’t believe that at all”, the Vermont lawmaker told reporters on the White House driveway.
“We are not going to engage in a process where the only time we schedule debates is when the Clinton campaign feels that they are under pressure and they need to have another debate”, he said.
Clinton’s campaign has not yet responded to Sanders’ counter-proposal.
Clinton is besting her Democratic competitor 64% to 27%.
In New Hampshire, Sanders is beating Clinton 57% to 38% and Trump is dominating the Republican field with 31% support.
Both Clinton and Sanders have high favorability ratings, and voting for either candidate will leave most voters feeling either “enthusiastic” or “satisfied”. “Sanders has significant momentum”, he added. “Our position will be that there should be at least three or four more”, Weaver said in a statement Tuesday night.
Clinton has now changed her tune and is calling on the DNC to sanction the extra debate.
It remains unclear if any additional debates will come to pass. The Democratic National Committee has said it will not sanction the debate organized for next week, though it seems unlikely it will ban all three candidates from the remaining two sanctioned debates.
Sanders is trying to upset Clinton in Iowa, where her advantage has narrowed in recent weeks, and then claim victory in New Hampshire, where polls show him with a steady lead in the February 9 primary.
“There’s only one person who is a proven changemaker on hostile territory”, the ex-president told a crowd of 325 in Iowa state, which holds its caucuses Monday, with his wife in a close race for the Democratic party’s presidential nod.
Though many Democratic strategists still predict she will capture the nomination, they now expect the race to continue into the spring. The DNC had no further comments on the debate Wednesday following Clinton’s comments. Front-runners typically prefer to limit the number of debates they participate in, and Clinton’s campaign had sought to keep the schedule small. Meanwhile, Sanders has the edge with people who say they’ll change the registration to Democrat to vote during Monday’s primary election.
