Bernie Sanders surpasses 2015 fundraising goal with sizable 4Q haul
The campaign notes that she has raised as much for her primary campaign as President Obama did as a sitting president in 2011, and more than Obama or Clinton did in 2007.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has raised a record $112 million in 2015 for her election campaign and enters the New Year with $38 million in cash.
Clinton’s fourth-quarter haul exceeds the $28 million she raised in the three months that ended September 30.
“You’ve gone after former president Bill Clinton for his infidelity, are your own personal indiscretions fair game in this campaign?”
The fourth quarter also saw Clinton get more help than usual on the fundraising trail. The Clinton campaign had previously set out a goal of more than $100 million for its primary in 2015. Ted Cruz’s campaign said it had raised almost $20 million in the fourth quarter.
The most recent filing comes just weeks before the first-in-the-nation ballots will be cast in the Democratic nominating contest, and Clinton’s latest grab provides a much-needed cushion of support as she battles for support in key early voter states. Aides have said that the campaign is focused on surpassing 1 million donors by the end of the year.
Hillary Clinton surpassed her fundraising goal for the Democratic primary with a big fourth quarter. Among them, portions of 275 emails were retroactively classified, the department revealed, keeping questions alive about whether Clinton, now a Democratic presidential candidate, put sensitive information at risk by using her personal email account for business and running it on a private server at her NY home.
A federal judge ordered the government to release 15 percent of Clinton’s 35,000 emails each month until the end of January 2016.
Sanders, by comparison, did not raise any money for the DNC past year, although his campaign has said it plans to fundraise on behalf of the national party.

Both Clinton and Sanders have raised money at strong clips compared to a large field of Republicans. Since he launched his campaign, he has received more than 2.3 donations and raised over $40 million.
