Bernie Sanders tops Clinton in Wyoming
Bernie Sanders won the Wyoming Democratic caucuses Saturday, providing his campaign with one more jolt of momentum before the race against Hillary Clinton heads east.

Officials say the Wyoming Democratic caucuses have resulted in an even split of the state’s 14 available delegates between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
Sanders prevailed in caucus voting Saturday, and has now won 16 states to Clinton’s 18. While there were only 14 delegates up for grabs, Wyoming’s main importance is it’s the last contest before the big NY primary April 19 so any momentum going into that hugely important contest is worth it! A total of 2,383 delegates is needed to win the party’s presidential nomination at the Philadelphia convention in July.
“If you look at the math, if you want to talk about math, the truth is that it is very, very, very unlikely that either candidate, either Secretary Clinton or Sen”.
Clinton’s supporters also view Sanders much more favorably than his supporters view her with 35 percent saying they have a positive view of the senator while only 3 percent of Sanders fans say they like Clinton and her policies.
In state assemblies, which culminated on Friday (local time), Mr Cruz won 21 delegates to just two for Donald Trump, who still has a comfortable lead in the overall nomination race for the Republicans.
McKinnon as Clinton said she is setting her sights on the NY primary. To clinch the nomination by the end of the primaries, a candidate needs 1,237 delegates.
Unimaginable at the start of the campaign, Bernie Sanders might be a stronger general-election candidate for the Democrats than Hillary Clinton. But it was Cruz who got an up-close dose of feedback from NY protesters. Eastern states, particularly NY, are thought to heavily favor Hillary. The Vermont senator kicked off his insurgent presidential bid a year ago with a pledge to focus on issues over character attacks and boasted often that hes never run a negative ad. But for months Sanders has sharply criticized Clinton, slamming her for supporting the war in Iraq, for her record on trade and most aggressively for her lucrative paid speeches before Wall Street bankers. Sanders “has struggled to appeal to minority voters – a large part of the Democratic primary electorate – who have overwhelmingly backed Clinton”, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Ted Cruz says there’s no room for subtlety in politics and his team is making that clear at Colorado’s Republican state convention.
Trump’s organizers in Colorado distributed a slate that included incorrect information for four of his desired delegates. In fact, when pressed repeatedly by “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on the question, Clinton touted herself as the better choice but refused to say that Sanders is unqualified.
Sanders made a campaign stop in Wyoming on Tuesday, attracting about 2,000 people at a rally in Laramie.

Trump organized late in Colorado and left the state convention up to his organizers, and spent about a half-hour on Saturday touring the National Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum in lower Manhattan.
