Bernie Sanders Wins Wyoming’s Democratic Caucuses
Mr Sanders, who hails from Brooklyn and has called for nothing short of “revolution”, has attracted in particular the youth vote, but he is faring poorly in comparison with Mrs Clinton among African Americans in particular.

The flyers distributed at the convention site reportedly had errors in the ballot numbers, misspelled delegate names and mismatched figures that led to confusion and ballot inconsistencies. The Vermont Senator defeated his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in Wyoming’s Caucus Apr. 9, by a percentage of 12.4%! Clinton didn’t do much campaigning in the state though, instead focusing her efforts on NY and Pennsylvania, states with tons of delegates that have primaries later this month.
The reason is that party rules allow for superdelegates, which are usually elected officials and party elites who can vote for whoever they want at the party convention.
Back in Wyoming, Van Cleave says she expects that the visits from Sanders and Bill Clinton will help drive increased turnout, especially among college students at the University of Wyoming.
The campaign of Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders added to his estimated delegate count ahead of Saturday’s Wyoming caucuses, citing discrepancies in other reported tallies.
Republicans, meanwhile, are in neighboring Colorado for a party convention where every delegate matters on the road to Cleveland’s GOP convention and Donald Trump is trying to clinch the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination. “We congratulate Senator Sanders on a spirited campaign in Wyoming”. This means a lot is riding on the April 19th NY primary, which has 291 delegates up for grabs.
Speaking to supporters in the Bronx on Saturday, Sanders seemed undeterred.
Awaiting results from the Wyoming Democratic caucus voting, state Democratic Party Executive Director Aimee Van Cleave says she’s gotten reports of a “really good” turnout Saturday across the state. Polls show Clinton holding a 13-point lead on Sanders, according to an average of recent surveys compiled by RealClearPolitics.
Sanders won the Wisconsin primary earlier in the week. The Trump advisor, Alan Cobb, went on to say that if there had been a traditional primary “we would have done very well here”.

Sanders – who locked horns with his rival Clinton over trade and the “Panama Papers” scandal this week – later said he continued to confound the doubters.
