Besiktas close in on Lucas deal
Lucas signed for the Reds in the summer of 2007.

The Express report that after Besiktas only offered £3.5m, it is more likely that a season-long loan deal is set to be agreed.
If the club harbour hopes of selling Lucas, then loaning him out to a top team overseas could see his potential value rise as he plays more regularly and becomes an integral part of a winning team.
If Lucas were to swap Liverpool for Besiktas over the coming weeks, he would be one of several players to have moved from England to the Super Lig already this summer. That is my No 1 objective so I’m going to do everything to make that happen.
Did you know we have a Liverpool FC page on Facebook? As he approaches 30, Lucas will want to play as much as possible but that doesn’t appear to be an option at his current club.
The news Liverpool fans have all been waiting for.
The Turkish side are believed to have approached the Reds, whom they knocked out of the Europa League in the Round of 32 back in February, with the view to sealing a loan deal for the Brazilian.
The striker had the weekend free and has gone back to his homeland on a number of occasions like this during his time at Anfield.

Lucas’ future has been the subject of speculation after he was left out of the squad by boss Brendan Rodgers for the opening two Premier League games against Stoke and Bournemouth.
