The Baylor Bears are on the road tonight in college football action, taking on the the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Big 12 College Football action.

Metaphorically speaking, the Buckeyes’ methodical approach on the gridiron could be compared to a pride of lionesses stalking their prey in the tall grass of the Serengeti Plains. “It’s the last time to play on Owen Field”. But there’s a reason why lions are the kings, and queens, of the jungle.

“The obvious part for us is we have to play well these last two weeks”, Stoops said.

This year, the records are nearly flipped. But we’re going to approach this week like we do every week.

All the Falcons, winners of five of their last six games, have to do to land a spot in the Mountain West title game is beat Boise State and New Mexico. There’s a lot on the line for both teams in this game.

A lot of “ifs” are involved in those scenarios, but the point of the matter is: The Big 12 title is still up for grabs.

Penn State is fresh off a bye week and is licking its chops to avenge an 18-13 loss to MI last season on the road. “As a team, we know we have to have a great week of practice to keep improving to give ourself the best opportunity to win this week”.

Game of the week:No. 9 MI State at No. 3 Ohio State, 3:30 p.m. ET This game has been circled on the calendar for quite a few time. 6 Baylor last week. It also sets up a game with MI next week that could decide the Big Ten East (if MI handles its business against Penn State, which is no sure thing).

For the Spartans, their success on offense starts and ends with senior quarterback Connor Cook.

-No. 9 MI State at No. 2 Ohio State: Everyone has talked about how Ohio State hasn’t played a quality opponent all season. Running back Ezekiel Elliott has literally carried the Buckeyes offense this year, with 1,425 yards and 16 touchdowns on the season.

Style points are important, even more so at this late stage of the season when you are one of the Playoff contenders, but now on the outside looking in.

Way back in the preseason, USC at OR looked like the Game of the Year in the Pac-12. Kind of still is. After losing to Texas, the Sooners have been one of the nation’s top teams, averaging 55 points per game.

Can’t do that against Oregon. They have rotated quarterbacks with no one seizing the job.

This is a monster game in the Big 12, both Oklahoma State and Baylor have playoff hopes this season, though the Bears do have a much bigger climb. Oklahoma State backup QB J.W. Walsh, primarily a red zone player, has thrown and rushed for 10 touchdowns…. Anyway I really like the over in this game, but if I had to pick a team it would be OR.

No team in America has a more unique QB situation than the Cowboys. Baylor is still smarting from the loss last week to the Sooners and would love to play spoiler for the Cowboys playoff hopes.

It’s probably a little bit of a stretch to say it’s not “realistic” for Notre Dame, with just one loss to No. 1 Clemson, to beat out an unbeaten team from a league that doesn’t have a conference championship game.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has been terrific on the other hand, throwing for 1,489 yards and 20 touchdowns in the last five games. But will it be enough to stop the Tar Heels?
