Best Buy Will Begin Selling The Apple Watch From August 7

Having the Apple Watch placement within Best Buy will allow Apple to attract to new customer outside of their Apple Stores.

Apple shipped 4 million watches to get a 75 percent share of the worldwide smartwatch market in the second quarter of 2015, research firm Strategy Analytics said last week.

Best Buy says it will update its website in the coming days with more details regarding Apple Watch, including which stores will offer the device on August 7th. The company started shipping Watch to customers on April 24 but limited sales to its online store.

While the Apple Watch won’t be available in all Best Buy stores, the expanded availability is still better than only being available in Apple Stores, which can be a bit sparse. Best Buy will stock the aluminum Apple Watch Sport model as well as the more expensive stainless steel Apple Watch, but unsurprisingly the $10,000-plus gold Apple Watch Edition won’t be on the shelves.

The Apple Watch, one of the year’s most talked about and innovative products, is coming to Best Buy.

Best Buy today announced it will begin selling the Apple Watch in some its U.S. retail stores and online on August 7, marking a substantial expansion of retail availability for the device.

Apple surely will benefit from the reach Best Buy has for additional consumers.

Best Buy will have 16 Apple Watch models, including the Sport and Watch versions, as well as nearly 50 accessories.

Apple hasn’t released any official figures about the sales Apple Watch has registered since its launch on April 24.
