Thanks to Siri you can speak to the remote in order to bypass onscreen navigation. One highlighted app is called Save While You Shop. The best thing you can get when it comes to music is the “Apple Music”. Make no mistake about it, the Apple TV is no longer a “hobby” device for Apple-as the firm’s execs used to quip – it’s now just as serious a focus as the iPhone is for the company.
What’s still missing?No live TV: As a well-connected multimedia set-top box and games centre, the new Apple TV has a lot to offer.
Among the new Shopping essentials are the likes of Groupon, eBay, Easy, Target and, of course, the Apple Store.
Unfortunately, right now, in Canada, that only means Netflix and iTunes, and while they both have excellent libraries and are the most popular, there are other options too.
Another huge new feature of the Apple TV is the App Store. You will also be directed to Music for any of your audio needs.
Furthermore, the latest Apple TV allows voice searches and playback using Siri. I’d be angry if I bought them on another service. The next-generation Apple TV sports a 64-bit A8 processor to support graphic-intensive games. I still play this game all the time, and the TV app helps keep the flame alive.
Setting it up Getting the Apple TV set up and functioning is quite easy. But the new model doesn’t support the Remote app, and it’s unclear if it ever will. For now, typing is a pain.
More of an issue is that most phone games just don’t really benefit from the big screen. This new remote has a microphone for a good Siri experience and it also has a matte touch pad. This could be an excellent thing.
Apple has removed hundreds of applications from its App Store, expressing its concern that the security of a few users’ personal data could be compromised in certain circumstances. Many developers are upset, as there are many apps you will only find by specifically searching for them by name. Notes+, Fonta, InstaWorld Pro- Quick Save, Repost, Share, Search And Shoutout photos and videos on Instagram -Instagrab, hCG, Sooner: to-do list & weekly planner, Sudoku9, pFinance: Personal Finance Tracker and My Family Budget Manager, Home Accounting and Financial Analysis of Revenue Expenditure, Money Management and many others. Then, dig out your phone or a computer.
