Bethesda is talking to Nintendo about the NX
Whether the Fallout and Elder Scrolls publisher launches games on the NX depends on if the NX will fit for Bethesda on a “technical standpoint”. What Bethesda is actually saying is that their games are made for x86 systems like the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and if the NX “fits that”, they would support the console.

Vice president of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines, recently spoke out in an interview with finder.com.au about collaborating with Nintendo. The Bethesda executive answered the question by declaring that he and his company haven’t ruled it out yet, but it’s still a case of determining if the studio’s products would be the right fit for the in-development Nintendo platform. Both were published by Bethesda, and although neither have had sequels announced yet, Pete Hines believes both games did well enough to warrant them. If the NX fits that from a technical standpoint, and fits the game that a developer in our stable is making, I don’t see why we would not put it out on NX. Their games skipped the Wii due to hardware limitations.

Our take? It seems like Bethesda are not sold that its upcoming roster, which includes tech-pushers like Prey and Quake Champions will be able to work on the Nintendo NX and the “wait and see” approach is now in play. Let’s hope the NX is every bit as much of a success as Nintendo want it to be, and that Nintendo can manage to get back into the console market with a competitive system. “But it’s too early to say, ‘we’ll definitely be putting games out or not”.
