Beware, Bernie: Chelsea Clinton Hits the Campaign Trail for Hillary
A stunning new Quinnipiac poll released Tuesday afternoon shows Sanders beating Clinton in Iowa, 49 percent to 44 percent.

The latest Quinnipiac and Monmouth polls paint a slightly more optimistic picture for Sanders than the Wall Street Journal/NBC/Marist survey published Sunday, which found Sanders trailing Clinton by 3 points in Iowa and leading Clinton by only 4 points in New Hampshire.
Clinton also has a campaign stop scheduled at the University of Dubuque on Tuesday afternoon. Among Democratic voters under 24 years old, 68 percent say they back Sanders, while just 26 percent support Clinton. She’s behind by a large amount in New Hampshire.
A win for Sanders in Iowa would give him a boost headed into New Hampshire’s February 9 primary.
The reason seems to be white voters.
Clinton was the favored candidate on the second most important issue, health care, by a narrow 48-43 margin, according to the poll.
“It’s relatively new for Hillary to talk about that”. I have voted to improve and extend the instant background check, I voted against the gun show loophole, and I also believe we should make this straw men situation a federal crime.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday stepped up her attacks on Bernie Sanders as two polls showed momentum with the Vermont senator.
“It could be that the inevitable candidate for the Democratic nomination may not be so inevitable today”, he said.
In an interview with CNN on Monday, Biden praised Sanders’ approach to income inequality, saying that he “is speaking to a yearning that is deep and real”. “Sen. Sanders wants to dismantle Obamacare, dismantle the (Children’s Health Insurance Program), dismantle Medicare, dismantle private insurance”.
Briggs said Sanders intends to release details about his proposed tax rates by the Iowa caucuses but said the senator had been “very detailed in his tax proposals” and noted that Clinton had only this week released plans to seek a surcharge on those earning $5 million or more.
Clinton ” who’s done only a select few national interviews since announcing her campaign in April ” called in to MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Friday night, invoking Sanders name six times during a short interview to criticize his vote on liability for gun-makers and his past opposition to other gun control legislation. Democratic Party elites – who quite literally count more than average voters under their nominating rules – have overwhelmingly cast in their lot with Hillary Clinton.

Sanders, during a town hall meeting in Des Moines, expressed his own support for Obama’s use of executive actions to curb gun violence, suggesting little daylight between him and the president.
