Beyoncé and Eddie Vedder perform stunning duet of Marley’s ‘Redemption
At tonight’s Global Citizen Fest in NYC’s Central Park, Pearl Jam ended their 12 song set with covers of John Lennon, Bob Marley, and Neil Young. Dressed down in jeans and a t-shirt, she sits next to Vedder while he plays an acoustic version of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” on his guitar.

The “Redemption Song” performance was punctuated by video of Nelson Mandela giving a speech about humanity overcoming extreme poverty while Vedder continued strumming and Beyonce harmonized under the former South African president’s words.
As outcome Of Sound reports, Queen Bee was invited on stage by, uh, King V, during Pearl Jam’s headline set at the poverty awareness event, and after a nice firm handshake, went on to share vocals on the track. Watch additional footage of Pearl Jam’s Global Citizen Festival set below. Beyoncé sang “Drunk in Love” with Ed Sheeran, Sting performed with Common, Coldplay was joined by Ariana Grande, and Sheeran also performed with Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

MSNBC has a pretty extensive playlist from the festival that you can check out here.
