It doesn’t look like Beyoncé fans will be getting a new visual album when the singer’s HBO special, “Lemonade”, premieres Saturday. There has been no mention of what exactly “Lemonade” is.

Beyonce is no stranger to surprise reveals. At this point, there is nothing confirmed besides the title, date, time and network.
At least, the twenty-second clip she posted to Instagram does.
It’s a plausible theory that is doing the rounds, but we’ll just have to wait and see what the teaser has in store for us this evening… “What am I gonna do love, what am I gonna do?” she says, donned in a sexy a fur coat. Why can’t you see me?

There has also been lots of reading of the (lemon) tea leaves of Beyoncé’s social media, which has included several pictures with lemons.
What is “Lemonade”? A video? It could also be a documentary about lemonade which would be pleasing but a little disappointing.
Then again, fans are desperately hoping that the cryptic new trailer is for something a lot more musical since it promises a “world premiere event”. Pitch Perfect 2 is scheduled to air at 9 PM on HBO2.

She released her last album, which was self-titled, in December 2013 with no prior announcement and combined the music with a series of short films. The apparent scheduling conflict between Beyonce’s project and Jurassic World has been resolved. With her world tour of the same name on the horizon, it’s reasonable to assume Lemonade is going to serve as the bridge between “Formation” and Beyoncé’s next big release.
