Adele has picked up a total of four nods thanks to her Adele Live In New York City NBC broadcast event, which is up for Outstanding Variety Special, Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Technical Direction, and Outstanding Lighting Design/Direction.
Bey is joined in the category by Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo, The Kennedy Center Honors and The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Prime Time Special. And finally, ’70s rock HBO misfire Vinyl is nominated for for two Emmys despite getting canceled after one season, in the running for both Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Main Title Design.

Beyoncé could very well fulfill an EGOT destiny if she wins any of these Emmys; the Grammys have been a given… Lemonade, for all its accolades and cultural relevance, aired the night of April 23, well after the cutoff date, meaning it would be eligible for nominations in 2017. But the Academy Awards aren’t really known for being progressive, so don’t count your lemons before they’re lemonade. In 2006, a few Dreamgirls song were nominated for Oscars, but Bey didn’t snag that prize, and she has yet to appear on Broadway to qualify for a Tony. Lemonade, conveniently, is already a story should she be so kind as to bless us with a devastating stage show about marital discord with baseball bat choreography.
