He also gave a shout-out to his ex Amber Rose, who was in attendance and talked about his role models, before unveiling his new music video. West went on to talk about how “Famous” was an expression of their fame and how audacious he was to put Anna Wintour next to Donald Trump and put Ray J in the bed. You know, like, people come up to me like, ‘Yeah, that’s right!
“I love you all, you know”.
He said as he looked at her in the audience: “My wife is a G!”
Rihanna kicked off the show, performing a medley of her hit songs in a bright pink ensemble that matched her background dancers and the stage.
During his tribute to Rihanna, Drake – dressed in a full tuxedo for the occasion – claimed that he’d be in love with the Barbadian singer since he was 22 years old. “The rapper-singer-producer performed his hit “(Expletive) Up Some Commas”.
