Beyonce kickstarts Formation World Tour
“I love you so much”.

Fans flew into a frenzy on Saturday (23Apr16) when Beyonce debuted her new material in a short TV film, also titled Lemonade, which detailed a marriage torn apart by infidelity. So damn peachy in fact, she even dedicated one of her most emotional songs to the big guy, who was watching his wife from the front row.
But the star, who’s new album Lemonade is proving to be just as controversial, is using the situation to her advantage by selling “Boycott Beyonce” merchandise on her new world tour. But it was her closing remarks that really caught people’s attention.
Noticeably absent from the two-hour concert were the political undertones of her Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year, where Beyonce’s dancers donned berets, sported Afros and wore all black, similar to the style of the Black Panther party.
Meanwhile, the first pictures of them together since the album dropped, taken on Tuesday, show them riding a golf buggy around the Miami venue.
Finally, the superstar singer – who it seems can do no wrong – paid the ultimate tribute to Prince, by turning her stage into a giant, violet cube, leaving the stage and allowing the arena to bask in Prince’s own version of Purple Rain. “He’s an artist that inspired all of us”, she said.
“I was driving here tonight, and my daughter said, ‘Mommy, are we going to your work?’ And then we were pulling up to this huge stadium”, she told the crowd. “You’re witnessing my dream coming true right now”.
A montage of Jay Z holding the couple’s newborn child in the hospital played as she sang. Her commanding performance of “Freedom” served as reminder to the world that she “breaks chains all by myself”.
