Beyonce steals Super Bowl half-time show, breaks the internet in the process

Although Beyonce sings on Coldplay’s new track “Hymn for the Weekend”, which was met with some controversy, they didn’t perform the collaboration at halftime, leaving fans scratching their heads.

On Saturday, February 6, the Carters sat courtside at the Golden State Warriors game at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. Earlier in the day, Queen Bey dropped her brand new single “Formation”, which sparked a huge reaction from both the Beyhive and celebs alike.

“Everyone who does this show knows it’s the biggest honour”.

The Grammy-winning singer announced her 2016 Formation World Tour in a commercial after she performed at the halftime show. Beyonce’s outfit itself may have been a tribute to Michael Jackson’s 1993 show, which brought Super Bowl halftimes into the modern age.

Chris Martin and company will be joined by a couple veteran halftime performers, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, who headlined the shows for Super Bowls XLVII and XLVIII, respectively.

Coldplay also pursued a fascination with India. The band’s latest single, “Adventures of a Lifetime”, debuted in November and shortly found its place close to the top of the charts.

Her ferocious grooving followed and overshadowed a medley of Coldplay’s low tempo hits, which began with “Yellow”, before breaking into “Viva La Vida” while accompanied by the many violinists of Youth Orchestra Los Angeles.

Beyonce’s bevvy of backup dancers were on point and Mars’ moves were, not surprisingly, flawless in his performance of Uptown Funk.

Sporting a sparkling red pantsuit and heavy red eye makeup, along with blue polish on her long nails, Lady Gaga drew loud applause for her performance of The Star-Spangled Banner and appeared to be holding back tears.
