Beyonce attained the title after winning seven awards at this year’s MTV Video Music Award.
Mariah Carey also took to social media to wish “the attractive Queen Bey” well on her big day.
Actress Holly Robinson Peete, 51, wished her “Virgo sis” a Happy Birthday and “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox posted an Instagram of herself rocking to Bey’s “Freedom”.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin – who Beyonce teamed up with on Hymn for the Weekend – added his congratulations: “We want to say happy birthday to Mrs. Carter who is out here somewhere”.
“The Queen has been running this game for over 15 years & she still has no competition. Sad”.
Elsewhere, DJ Khaled, who joined Beyonce on her Formation World Tour, wrote, “Happy bday beyonce”.
