Astronaut and Purdue alumnus David Wolf will speak at the event, which will include a program and reception.
On June 29, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) is convening a virtual Cancer Moonshot Summit on Twitter.
WASHINGTON-Vice President Joe Biden announced a series of partnerships involving government, industry and academia that are aimed at bolstering the White House’s proposed $1 billion “cancer moonshot” to speed up the national fight against the disease. “Purdue is positioned to do that”, said Ratliff.

Additionally, the nation’s third-largest cancer hospital, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, looks to Avec to enable data capture, sharing and matching-while maintaining patient privacy-in a Cancer Research Information Exchange spanning multiple cancer centers nationwide.
As it brings on new members, OPeN plans to focus more on community health systems beyond the current membership, hoping to reach to patients in other geographic regions of the U.S.
