Biden Refuses To Say Clinton Foundation Is ‘100 Percent Ethical’

In a speech just a stone’s throw from a General Motors assembly plant, Vice President Joe Biden urged some 200 union members and others to remember who’d been on their side when their jobs hung in the balance – and to side with Democrat Hillary Clinton this November. But the site, a union hall across the street from a cornfield, was a familiar location for Mr. Biden: He appeared here during a campaign stop in the 2012 election. Trump received more votes than popular Republican Gov. John Kasich in all of Ohio’s eastern counties.

BIDEN: I think The Clinton Foundation, like all foundations, have found themselves in a position where things are changing and I think she’s going to change, adjust to the realities of how complicated it’s all become. “They’re scared to death with good reason that Russiawill cross the border and annex them like they did Crimea”, Biden said. “This is a guy who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth that now he’s choking on because his foot’s in his mouth-with the spoon”.

But Mr. Biden also seemed to acknowledge, and sought to address, Ms. Clinton’s own weakness among working-class whites. He said he met recently with the presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to reassure them that Trump doesn’t represent America.

When asked why Trump did so well in the primary, Biden said, “He had no opposition”.

In July, Trump said the United States might abandon its North Atlantic Treaty Organisation military commitments, including the obligation to defend members against attacks.

Instead of touching on any news that Trump has generated over the past 24 hours, Biden looked to bring the Mahoning Valley voters back to the kind of “kitchen table” talk he has been known to use in previous campaigns.
