Biden: Trump Compromising US Interests by Praising Putin

Hillary Clinton said today she was “wrong” to say that “half” of Donald Trump’s supporters were “deplorables” and “irredeemable”, remarks she made at the LGBT For Hillary Gala, a fundraiser at which Barbra Streisand and Rufus Wainwright performed. “You just have to look at the maps”, Trump said.

“I think the Clinton campaign recognizes that they might have a little bit of a problem”, Paduchik said.

When asked by host Matt Lauer about a comment where he described Putin as “highly respected within his country and beyond”, Trump pointed to the Russian president’s 82 percent approval rating and compared him to President Obama. “We only want to admit people to our country who will support our values and love our people”, Trump said.

“To just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables”.

Clinton’s comments drew a rebuke from Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who said on Twitter that Clinton had insulted millions of Americans.

Trump’s campaign hammered on Clinton throughout the day.

Clinton made her remarks at an LGBT fundraiser in NY late Friday. Her comments might serve to rile them up and make them more passionate about voting and helping Trump, but they weren’t going to vote for Clinton anyway.

She added that those people were deserving of understanding and empathy.

“She could walk into this arena right now and shoot somebody with 20,000 people watching, right smack in the middle of the heart and she wouldn’t be prosecuted”, he declared.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN, “A former CNN superstar, Larry King, has a podcast, and Mr. Trump went on his podcast”.

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton clashed over national security again on Friday, with Trump calling his Democratic rival “trigger-happy” and Clinton arguing his proposals would make the world a more unsafe place. “It’s like incredible”, he said. “And [Trump] has lifted them up”. Almost 15 million people watched the event, and over 26 million tuned in at some point during the hour.

“She gave an entire speech about how the alt right movement is using his campaign to advance its hate movement”, Merrill tweeted.

She went to note that the other half of his supporters are good, hard-working Americans who felt that the government has failed them economically.

But Clinton’s remarks got top billing on Twitter where the hashtag #BasketOfDeplorables was trending, with shows of condemnation and support for Clinton.

Despite taking aim at some of the businessman’s backers, Clinton painted the other half of his supporters as people let down by the government and economy who are “desperate for change”, Buzzfeed reported.

Clinton has made similar comments in the past.

NY businessman Trump, who has never previously run for political office, regularly says things that some consider insulting or off-color.

Donald Trump has frequently expressed his admiration for the Russian president – despite knowing all his vices, including allegations about murdering journalists.

And she said his campaign was built “on stoking mistrust and pitting American against American”.

“It’s one thing to attack your opponent”.

On Saturday, Clinton’s staff said she attended another fundraiser at the Armonk, New York home of attorney David Boies.
